Privacy Policy for ImageKraft

Last Updated: October 1, 2026

ImageKraft was previously named Lazy’s Image Tools. This policy covers version 2.0 and later. Versions 1.x are covered by the Lazy’s Image Tools policy.

Overview

ImageKraft is an image toolkit for macOS. Your images are processed on your Mac and are never sent to us or to anyone else. There is no analytics, no tracking and no account.

Data Collection

The app collects no personal information.

We do not collect, and have no access to:

How The App Works

Your Images

When The App Uses The Network

The app makes exactly one kind of internet connection: the optional HD model download. There are no background connections, update checks or telemetry.

Downloading the HD background removal model (optional)

Background Remover works out of the box with a model built into macOS. You can choose to download a more accurate HD model (about 490 MB). The download starts only when you click Download.

To confirm the app was installed from the Mac App Store, the app sends Apple’s signed proof of purchase for the app (the StoreKit “AppTransaction”) to our download server. The proof contains the app’s identifier and version, the original purchase date and a device verification value generated by Apple. It does not contain your name, email address or Apple ID.

The server checks Apple’s signature and sends back the model file. It stores nothing: there is no database, no saved proof, no account and no identifier. We do not store or log your proof of purchase or any information that identifies you.

macOS may ask you to sign in to the App Store before the download. That sign-in is handled by Apple, not by the app.

The download server runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare, as the host, processes the connection, including your IP address, to deliver the file, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Once downloaded, the model runs entirely on your Mac. No image is sent anywhere.

Agent Access (optional, off by default)

In Preferences > Agents you can let AI coding agents on your Mac (such as Claude Code or Codex) use ImageKraft’s tools.

What an AI agent does with your images before or after it uses ImageKraft is governed by that agent’s own privacy policy, not this one.

In the Metadata tool, “Open in Maps” hands a photo’s GPS coordinates to the Maps app. This happens only when you click it. The app itself does not connect to the internet for this.

Third-Party Services

The app contains no:

App Sandbox

The app runs in Apple’s App Sandbox. It can only reach:

Data Stored On Your Mac

The app stores the following, only on your Mac:

These live in the app’s sandbox container. To remove them, delete the app and then delete the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.lazydevgames.imagetools. To remove an installed skill, delete its imagekraft folder from the agent’s skills folder.

Children’s Privacy

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your Rights

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, export or delete.

Changes to This Policy

If our privacy practices change, we will update this policy and the “Last Updated” date.

Compliance

Because the app collects no personal information, it is designed to meet Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines and the principles of the GDPR, CCPA and COPPA.

Summary: The app collects no personal information. Your images never leave your Mac, and the only time the app goes online is when you choose to download the HD model.
